In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive on-page and off-page SEO strategies, implementing digital marketing campaigns, and sourcing external tech and non-tech contractors. You will also work closely with our in-house tech teams to ensure that our product offerings are optimized for search engines and aligned with our broader business goals.

 

Your key responsibilities will include

  • SEO Strategy Development: Lead the creation and execution of on-page and off-page SEO strategies to enhance organic search visibility and drive user acquisition.
  • Digital Marketing Campaign Oversight: Design, implement, and manage digital marketing campaigns that align with SEO objectives and overall business goals.
  • Contractor Management: Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with external tech and non-tech contractors to support SEO initiatives and digital marketing efforts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with in-house tech and operation teams to ensure seamless integration of SEO best practices into product development and content creation.
  • Market Expansion: Drive initiatives to expand the company’s reach into new geographical markets within the country, leveraging SEO and digital marketing tactics.
  • Performance Monitoring: Regularly analyze and report on the performance of SEO and digital marketing efforts, using data-driven insights to optimize strategies.
  • Stay Up-to-Date: Regularly monitor and implement the latest SEO and digital marketing trends, tools, and best practices to ensure the company remains competitive in rankings.

 

Experience and Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in SEO, Digital Marketing or a related field
  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Demonstrated hands-on experience crafting and implementing robust SEO strategies that drive substantial user growth and acquisition. Possesses deep knowledge of search engine algorithms and ranking factors, with strong proficiency in A/B testing, keyword research, and content optimization techniques.
  • Product Marketing: Experience in launching and marketing digital products, focusing on consumer engagement, brand development, and driving user growth.
  • Digital Marketing: Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, with demonstrable experience in leveraging these channels for growth, particularly in the Canadian market.
  • Metrics & Performance Analysis: Demonstrated ability to track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics using tools like GSC, Google Analytics, Semrush and Moz, with proven experience using data-driven insights to optimize strategies and achieve measurable growth objectives.
  • Proven Success: Previous experience with a demonstrated track record of delivering successful growth and user acquisition results is essential.
  • Canadian Market Knowledge: Strong familiarity with the Canadian market, specifically with the unique characteristics and opportunities in Alberta and British Columbia.
  • Project Management & Organizational Skills: Excellent project management abilities with strong organizational skills to effectively handle multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
